The report adds that whenever a user tries to open Zoom's Chrome extension, a notice appears on their screen, which reads, "Zoom client must be upgraded to join this meeting.” For those unaware, Zoom introduced the Zoom progressive web application for Chrome OS users in June this year. The report suggests that the company has also removed the app from the Chrome Web Store and it is only accessible via a direct link. This means that the ChromeOS users can no longer join meetings using the app. According to an online report by 9to5Google, Zoom has discontinued the support for its original Chrome OS app.
